The Expositor; or many mysteries unraveled.  A few of the most wonderful feats as performed by the art of legerdemain: with some reflections on ventriloquism  by William Frederick Pinchbeck.  Fine 1996 reprint, with new Foreword added, of the scarce 1805 Boston publication.  Xi plus 100 pages, limited to 1000 numbered copies.  This is believed to be the first publication on ventriloquism published in the United States (NOT the 1832 Atkinson’s Casket as stated in the McIntyre bibliography of ventriloquism).  Fine copy, HB in pictorial gilt and red on green cloth.  $45
